I would like to introduce myself as Ravi Tomar Chemistry teacher and researcher. I have completed Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Ramesh Chandra at Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi and thesis entitled “Development of Cerium-based Heterogeneous catalyst with Its Application for Organic Transformation” During my Ph.D., I have developed a series of cerium based solid base catalysts (Cerium hydroxide carbonate and magnesium hydroxide composite, Pd(OAc)2(PPh3)3/Cerium hydroxide carbonate and magnesium hydroxide composite, Ceria and magnesium hydroxide composite, Ceria supported Hydrotalcite) which further used in organic synthesis (Henry reaction, Suzuki- Miyaura reaction, Oxidation of alcohols, Knoevenagel condensation, Imines formation). These works have been published in referred international journals. I have also learned the various used techniques such as NMR, GC, GC-MS, HPLC, XRD, TEM, SEM, BET, ICP, UV, and FT-IR during research works. In the tenure of my Ph.D., I have also done some research works (as a special visiting student for three months) at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Japan. Beyond these, I have completed my Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Chemical Synthesis and Process Technologies from department of chemistry, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 India. In M.Tech., I did my project work entitled “The one pot greener synthesis copper catalyzed one pot synthesis of Azide –Alkyne Cycloaddition reaction via greener protocol” under the supervision of Dr. Kapil Arya, at Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 India and published two research papers in referred international journals.
